Ep27: Divij Bajaj: Increasing awareness towards nutrition

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of inviting Divij Baja.

Having spent a considerable amount of his career in the lifestyle and education sector, serial entrepreneur Divij Bajaj shifted his focus to the nutraceuticals industry, when he founded Power Gummies in November 2018, advocating the mantra of “Health Powered by Happiness & backed by Science.'”

The brand’s first product, a hair vitamin supplement, made from plant-based pectin, ten essential vitamins, biotin, and folic acid, was able to bridge the gap in the market for individuals who sought substitutes to traditional pills, to complement their daily beauty regime.

Promoting the idea of beauty from within, Divij consciously took the decision to ensure that the formulation of the products was vegan, gluten-free, gelatin-free, and crafted cruelty-free, with the intention of making health, fun for all.

His key leadership and market foresight helped create a brand presence that was memorable and impactful, by introducing the global trend of tasty chewable gummy vitamins, to the Indian market. Within six months of the brand’s commercial launch, Power Gummies was amongst the top three sellers, across all categories, on the Amazon launchpad.

Power Gummies was met with intrigue and soon the brand's advocacy grew prominent among celebrities, influencers, and the public, giving rise to a community of beauty and wellness loyalists who have continued to support the brand, to this day. Since its inception, it has sold over 2 Million+ gummies and has made its way to be recognized as the Top Startup to Watch in 2020 by INC42, followed by the Most innovative product 2020 by Mint business

After witnessing the massive success of his first variant from the brand, Divij soon turned his focus to the fitness and health supplement industry, with plans to launch ‘The beach body’ gummies that help with fat burn and weight management, by increasing the metabolism rate in the body to speed up the fat burn process. These gummies are designed to be sugar-free, infused with the goodness of green coffee, amongst other ingredients.

Divij plans to launch about 20 more variants, focusing on different health and wellness stressors and segments.

Early on in 2020, Aesthetic Nutrition Pvt Ltd closed its Pre-Series A funding led by DSG Consumer Partners & Vcats. DSGCP works closely with Divij and his new product development team to design, develop and launch a portfolio of chewable functional and nutritional supplements.

Ep25: Sukriti Jindal Khaitan: Living a purposeful existence

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of inviting Sukriti Jindal Khaitan. A tireless champion for holistic wellness and mindful living, it was only a matter of time before Sukriti Jindal Khaitan decided to extend this ethos to the realm of beauty. In many ways, what truly distinguishes aša beauty, a brand she has co-created is her firm belief that luxury and sustainable, all-natural products can co-exist in a new realm of purposeful luxury.

Sukriti credits her holistic ethos to her Eastern upbringing, which was offset by ample Western exposure during her formative years. Growing up in Hong Kong, she traveled abroad to study Economics and Psychology with a minor in Chinese and Business Studies at NYU, spending one semester in Florence. She continued to live and work in New York City for a year before heading home to India. Upon her return, she assumed the role of the Director of Jindal Naturecare Hospital, one of India’s most reputed naturopathy hospitals. In her spare time, Sukriti enjoys traveling around the world and connecting with different philosophies. She continues to take one self-development course a year. This diverse exposure has allowed her an opportunity to closely examine and compare Eastern alternative medical and wellness sciences such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine, with more contemporary Western concepts such as mind-body medicine.

As a certified integrative nutrition health coach, Sukriti would find herself stocking up on clean beauty products during her travels. She was certain that there were many others like her, who were eager to seek out luxury beauty brands that were uncompromising in their outlook towards values and being cruelty-free, while also mindful about their social impact and environmental footprint. This inspired her to create a brand that would empower Indian women with clean beauty products they could rely on. Underlying all her efforts were her unshakable desire for goodness in the world and her primary goal of always living life without compromise. And so, joining hands with her mother-in-law Asha, she decided to combine her vast experiences and exposure to create a truly authentic clean beauty brand, named aša beauty.

Today, Sukriti prides herself on being a complete aša woman – a woman who is committed to living a purposeful existence, and to making mindful, sustainable, and conscientious choices that enable her to look and feel like the best version of herself. Going forward, Sukriti is eager to be a thought-leader in this rapidly growing and evolving space.
