I grew up in Abu Dhabi and moved to Mumbai, where I built a career that has taken some unusual turns. I have run restaurants, sold hardware, built analytics practices from scratch, and spent the last decade leading AI and data teams at a leading analytics and AI firm. Along the way, I worked with Fortune 500 companies across technology, consumer goods, healthcare, and media to turn AI from a slide deck concept into production systems.
The pattern in my career has always been the same: walk into something that doesn't exist yet and build it. I have done that with analytics practices, AI platforms, agentic systems, and now with content and thought leadership. Each time, the lesson is the same. The technology is the easy part. The hard part is getting people to change how they think.
That's why I wrote "Merchants of AI," started two podcasts ("Breakthrough Blueprint" and "Masters Decoded"), and began speaking at events including TEDx. The gap I kept seeing was between what AI can do and what organizations actually use it for. Most of the problem is not technical. It's communication, culture, and clarity of thought.
Today, I split my time between leading enterprise AI work, creating content that makes AI practical for a wider audience, and building tools and systems that help people get more from these technologies. I am based in Mumbai with my wife Almaas and our two sons.
